This paper presents an underactuated mobile manipulator (UMM) and focuses on solving modeling, tracking, and vibration- and balance-control problems. Although the study has been directed at warehousing applications, the developed techniques are general and can be applied to other applications. The derivation of equations of motion of the UMM, disturbance analysis, and model validation are investigated to reveal the actual system dynamics. Additionally, a simple but effective strategy is also developed to solve the equilibrium point and balance problem. Based on the dynamic model, two control architectures are proposed: Model Predictive Control (MPC) and MPC+Proportional-Integral (PI) with integral actions, respectively, and they can also be applied to other robotic systems. Compared to other MPC-based control strategies, the proposed controllers require less effort to implement in practice. Finally, simulations, experiments, and robustness verification are conducted and discussed, and the results are satisfactory. 相似文献

This paper presents the Kriging model approach for stochastic free vibration analysis of composite shallow doubly curved shells. The finite element formulation is carried out considering rotary inertia and transverse shear deformation based on Mindlin’s theory. The stochastic natural frequencies are expressed in terms of Kriging surrogate models. The influence of random variation of different input parameters on the output natural frequencies is addressed. The sampling size and computational cost is reduced by employing the present method compared to direct Monte Carlo simulation. The convergence studies and error analysis are carried out to ensure the accuracy of present approach. The stochastic mode shapes and frequency response function are also depicted for a typical laminate configuration. The optimal design of laminated sandwich panels with viscoelastic core is addressed in this paper, with the objective of simultaneously minimizing weight and material cost and maximizing modal damping. The design variables are the number of layers in the laminated sandwich panel, the layer constituent materials and orientation angles and the viscoelastic layer thickness. The problem is solved using the Direct MultiSearch (DMS) solver for multiobjective optimization problems which does not use any derivatives of the objective functions. A finite element model for sandwich plates with transversely compressible viscoelastic core and anisotropic laminated face layers is used. This article examines an oblique Microcantilever (MC) with an extended piezoelectric layer in liquid. The study of hydrodynamic force in MC which has been floated in viscous fluid is considered as paramount importance. To model the Vibrational motion, the Hamilton's principle has been used. For this purpose, the Vibrational motion equation has been modeled by considering the continuous beam based on the Euler–Bernoulli beam theory in liquid. Furthermore, using the Galerkin method and the Newmark algorithm, the differential equations of the MC has been solved. In this modeling, the inter-atomic forces between the MC tip and the sample surface have been considered in addition to the hydrodynamic and squeeze forces. The simulation results illustrate a reduction in the sensitivity of the vibrational motion under the effect of the squeeze force during the angularization of the MC. Moreover, the results illustrate that by reducing the MC distance from the sample surface, the Vibration amplitude decreases due to the increase in the fluid squeeze force. At the end, it has been shown that the time delay in sample surface topography in liquid substantially decreases in comparison with the air. 相似文献

Condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of rolling element bearings timely and accurately are very important to ensure the reliability of rotating machinery. This paper presents a novel pattern classification approach for bearings diagnostics, which combines the higher order spectra analysis features and support vector machine classifier. The use of non-linear features motivated by the higher order spectra has been reported to be a promising approach to analyze the non-linear and non-Gaussian characteristics of the mechanical vibration signals. The vibration bi-spectrum (third order spectrum) patterns are extracted as the feature vectors presenting different bearing faults. The extracted bi-spectrum features are subjected to principal component analysis for dimensionality reduction. These principal components were fed to support vector machine to distinguish four kinds of bearing faults covering different levels of severity for each fault type, which were measured in the experimental test bench running under different working conditions. In order to find the optimal parameters for the multi-class support vector machine model, a grid-search method in combination with 10-fold cross-validation has been used. Based on the correct classification of bearing patterns in the test set, in each fold the performance measures are computed. The average of these performance measures is computed to report the overall performance of the support vector machine classifier. In addition, in fault detection problems, the performance of a detection algorithm usually depends on the trade-off between robustness and sensitivity. The sensitivity and robustness of the proposed method are explored by running a series of experiments. A receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve made the results more convincing. The results indicated that the proposed method can reliably identify different fault patterns of rolling element bearings based on vibration signals. 相似文献

This paper presents a neural network technique combined with an optical measurement system for the characterization of mechanical vibrations in industrial machinery. In the proposed system, the Gaussian beam of a laser source illuminates on an array of photodetectors. If either the laser source or the photodetector array is coupled with a vibrating system, then the optical powers detected by the photodetectors will vary accordingly, and are expected to reflect the magnitude and frequency of the X–Y planar vibrations of the monitored system. The time-varying optical powers are input to an artificial neural network-based vibration monitoring system which maps the power distributions to the X–Y position of the laser beam center. An experimental setup of the system is built and used for training and testing purposes. The obtained experimental results demonstrate the adequacy of combining optical techniques with neural networks to estimate the vibration frequency and magnitude. Estimated frequencies were within 1% of the actual ones, and the estimated magnitudes were within 29% of the actual magnitudes when using a chirp signal in the training phase. The magnitude estimation percentage error was further reduced below 12% when the neural network was trained with a decaying chirp signal. 相似文献

When applied to transportation systems, fuel cell structures are exposed to external mechanical disturbance including shocks and harmonic excitations from operating components. To minimize performance degradation from machine operations, the fuel cell structure needs to be examined via vibration reliability tests. In this study, the reduction in the clamping force of the stack by random vibrations was investigated by experiments. The stack mass and gasket were clamped with bolts for vibration tests. The vibration induced shear movements between clamped stacks. To estimate the vibration input magnitudes, the Dirlik method was used. The reduction in the stack clamping force was estimated using the Basquin's power law. The clamping force decreased by the shear vibration input to the stack structure. The degree of clamping force reduction was larger for the heavier stack. When the stacks were separated by the gasket the reduction became smaller. Through the Dirlik method, the vibration reliability of the stack was evaluated. This information provides severity of the external vibration on the stack functionality. 相似文献

The acoustic vibration characteristics of landmines are investigated by means of modal analysis. According to the mechanical structure of landmines, a certain number of points are marked on the landmine shell to analyze its multi-modal vibration characteristics, based on laser self-mixing interferometer and taking 69 plastic landmine as an example, the vibration detection experiment system is built to show the results of analytical method of multi-modal testing. The first and second order natural frequencies of the bricks are 38 HZ and 106 HZ, 112HZ and 232HZ for plastic landmines, and 74HZ and 290HZ for metal landmines. The first and second order natural frequencies of the bricks are far smaller than those of plastic landmines and metal landmines. This indicates that landmines show multi-modal vibration characteristics under external excitation, which are significantly different from those of bricks. The findings can be used for further research on acoustic landmines detection technology. 相似文献
